We’ve been in a project about racism and discrimination. It was located in Poronin, Poland. There were people from three different countries – Poland, Turkey and Lithuania. The next day as we came there, we started playing games about racism and discrimination, later we’ve got more serious and took pencils in our hands. We kept learning about racism and discrimination. We started creating groups and every single group had a topic. The group needed to create a play about the topic. After the show we started creating other groups in which we were going to do comics. We have never created any comic so that was really good experience for us. We split into the groups and every group got a theme which they needed to represent to the others in one hour. We’ve got self-esteem theme, which we represented pretty good and everyone enjoyed it. As we first time went to Zakopane we had 4 hours of doing whatever we want. But second time we needed to sing a song in Zakopane’s main street while wearing costumes which we made ourselves from paper. Also we gave balloons and fake flowers with notes about racism for people who were passing by. We were taking photos with them and walking down the street.
Erasmus + Youth Exchange in Zakopane left unforgettable memories. We met new people from other countries with different traditions and values. We spent a lot of time together doing different activities, playing games and hearing about each other country, traditions. One of favorite things was drawing comics. We were painting them for the first time. We really liked when we solved together, such global problems like: racism, stereotypes and discrimination. We prepared a performance and demonstrate it in Zakopane High Street. People who watched it enjoy it, so did us. This project gave us a lot of experience which would have never felt if there was not Erasmus+ European hero Youth Exchange!!!
