Experience is the teacher of all things. I would say that participating in this kind of projects is the best way to gain a valuable experience, fall in love with a culture and country that you are visiting, learn new things and make friends from different countries.
My name is Monika. Me and my other Lithuanian friends were participating in Erasmus+ project “11 Techniques For 11 Emergency Situations”. The project was about what to do in real life situations and how to help people or yourself. Also there was a group work and group projects, which helps you to understand why it is so important to know first aid technique. Doctor Andrei was very interesting, he also did some late evening talks about medicine and psychiatry. On our free time all the participants were going to Aksaray city centre for Turkish coffee and meals. We had really great time with each other during day activities, cultural night or evenings. I have learned some words and phrases in Bulgarian and Turkish language. We found out that word “vyšnia” (vyshnia) is common in Turkish, Bulgarian and Lithuanian language!
At the end I would like to encourage young people not to be afraid and participate or even create projects like this one. It was my first but not the last time for sure.
