On April 23rd, we had the pleasure of participating in an enriching mentoring session, which brought together participants involved in both the Erasmus project and the Digifast initiative. The session focused on the impact and advantages of using new artificial intelligence (AI) tools in our daily lives and across various creative projects, such as video creation, blogs, articles, and more.
Starting with Human Connection
The day began with a series of icebreaker games designed to help us get to know each other better and build trust within the group. One game involved saying something you liked about another person and then switching seats. In another activity, we used each other’s names to form our own and shared something we liked about ourselves. These simple yet powerful games allowed us to break the ice and connect on a more personal level.
Learning Through Experience
After building that initial connection, we moved on to a more hands-on part of the session. We watched a demonstration video showcasing how AI works specifically using Lumen5, a tool that facilitates rapid video creation. This platform allows users to generate videos on a wide variety of topics in just a few steps, followed by options for deeper customization.

Putting AI to the Test
Inspired by what we had learned, we engaged in a group activity where each participant was challenged to use an AI tool to create a project in just 10 minutes. Many chose to write articles, and a popular topic was the situation of the Roman Community. It was amazing to see how even those with little experience in content creation were able to produce meaningful and well-structured pieces in such a short time. These creations were then uploaded to their Digifast portfolios, proving just how accessible and empowering these tools can be.

Wrapping Up with Reflection
To close the session, we played a reflective game where we laid out cards with different images on the floor. Each participant picked the ones they felt represented their personality or interests, explained their choices, and shared their thoughts on the experience. Finally, we conducted a feedback round, where everyone offered their opinions on what they learned, how they felt about the meeting, and suggestions for future improvements.

The feedback received was varied, but it would remain that the group liked the mentoring very much, that they learned a lot, that we all agree that AI is a brutal change and it is advisable to learn it and that everything explained was coherent, leaving once again, everyone satisfied.

Watch the video and feel the energy that sparked new possibilities!
