Cognitive journey around Vilnius

Vilnius is an enchanting and impressive capital of Lithuania, which has recently received more and more guests from various parts of Europe. It is one of the most unique and diverse cities in Europe, where everyone can find the most attractive place to work or relax.

In April, we received interns and volunteer from Spain and Portugal. Ambitious young people integrated into our team and looked forward to getting to know Vilnius better by visiting inimitable and sightseeing places.

We started our cognitive journey from one of the most unusual places in Vilnius – the Open-Air Art Gallery. This place is in Naujamiestis, where talented artists from different parts of the world have come together to present themselves and their creations on the walls of buildings. The young people were fascinated by the works of street art and their styles. They think this is not only a great place to take beautiful pictures but also to get inspiration for creativity.

Full of impressions, we traveled to one of the largest places in Eastern Europe – Vilnius Old Town. It is the pride of the country, famous for its impressive buildings and architecture. To make sure, we climbed Gediminas Hill. It is one of the highest locations in the Old Town, where you can admire both modern architecture and skyscrapers, as well as the ancient red roofs of the Old Town and other historical places of the city. Full of admiration, our friends said that Vilnius is really different from their capitals, but it is uniquely beautiful.

Admiring the diversity of Vilnius from above, we came to the main square of the country – Vilnius Cathedral. It is one of the most important symbols of Lithuanian baptism, in which a passer-by who speaks more than one language can be heard. It is a famous square for tourists, where our young people admired not only the Vilnius Archcathedral Basilica but also the bell tower of Vilnius Cathedral. These objects fascinated them with their peculiarity and the deep meanings important to our culture.

We ended our cognitive trip to the enchanting beauty of C. Sugihara Sakura Park. It is a place that symbolizes a short human life and a new beginning, and the flowering of Sakura evokes emotions of peace and joy. According to our young people, it is a magical place where you feel like you are in a different reality. Upon learning the history of the park’s establishment, they did not hide their emotions about Sugihara’s noble deeds. For them, this place was associated not only with the location of beautiful photos but also with a deep place, symbolizing a noble human deed.
